5 steps on how to be more confident

1

THINK POSITIVE

When you replace negative thoughts by positive ones, you’ll act more positively and great things will happen. First, you have to have positive thoughts about yourself. Start listing all your qualities and skills. Then, think about all the difficult tasks you achieved. Why were they difficult? And why were they a success? Thinking about your skills and what you did well, will help you realise that you are a great person. And as you’re a great person you should be more confident.

2

DO SOME SELF-ANALYSIS ABOUT WHAT MAKES YOU FEEL BAD

If you’re not confident enough, you probably need to change something. You must know what it is. Think about what you don’t really like about you and your lifestyle, what you’d like to do better and what makes you unhappy. It’s important to be honest to yourself as it’s the only way to make a real and efficient change.

3

GET PREPARED TO FACE YOUR FEARS AND OTHER DIFFICULT TASKS

When you don’t feel in control, you could be less confident and afraid of doing something. Think clearly about how you’ll tackle what scares you next week. If you get prepared, you’ll be more confident as you’ll know exactly what to do and how to react. So, instead of trying to avoid your fears face them: you’ll be proud and much more confident.

4

TAKE CARE OF YOU

To be confident it’s important to be comfortable with yourself. Don’t always try to make everyone happy: you’ll always ask yourself what they think about you, which is a bad thing as you can’t please everyone. That’s why what YOU think and what YOU like is the only thing you must focus on. You have to be at ease with yourself. Find a pretty hairstyle you’re happy with, get your nails done if you want to, put your makeup on the way you like and dress nicely.

5

KEEP CALM AND SPEAK SLOWLY

Firstly, a confident person takes time to explain her ideas. Secondly, if you speak too fast, you could stammer and/or forget what you want to say. And then what happens? You feel bad and not confident anymore. So slow down and don’t worry: people will listen to you more carefully if you speak slow (not too slow! Don’t take it to an extreme!).
